Coaxial (coax) technic is the most common way for transmitting video signals. The name coaxial refers to the common axis of the two conductors. Coaxial cables that conform to US Government specifications are identified with an RG designation.
Coaxial technic most commonly used in cables for video applications are RG58/U, RG59/U and RG11/U. For underwater dynamic applications it is important that the centre dielectric is a constant solid.
Both the HDM and HRS Series connectors accomodate both single or multi coaxial paths. The connectors can be used for high definition signal bandwidth up to 2GHz. The dielectric inserts are custom designed and will withstand an open-face pressure.
